Abstract:
Oroboros O2k-Workshop on high-resolution respirometry (HRR). Schroecken, Austria; 2018 October.
• O2k-Network Lab: AT_Innsbruck_Oroboros
General information
- This introductory training course on the Oroboros O2k-FluoRespirometer further provides an introduction to DatLab 7 and applications of the TIP2k. Hands-on experiments illustrate the principle and show the unique advantages and limitations of simultaneous monitoring of oxygen concentration, respiration, hydrogen peroxide production or mt-membrane potential. SUIT protocols, calibration and instrumental service are covered as well.
Feedback
- It was a pleasure meeting you and the Oroboros team at IOC134, too! Easily one of my best conference/class experiences. - Jurczak Michael J
- I would like to tell thank you for excellent O2k-Workshop we had on high-resolution respirometry in Schroecken recently. Thank you also for sharing your brilliant knowledge in the field of mitochondria research. I enjoyed a lot to listen your presentations. - Jansone Baiba, O2k-Network Lab: LV Riga Jansone B
- I also take the opportunity to thank you again for the organisation of the excellent IOC134, it was a pleasure and a real chance to participate to this workshop, very enriching in every way. - Bello Fiona, O2k-Network Lab: LV Riga Jansone B
- The pleasure was mine to meet you and attending the workshop, it was a tsunami of knowledge and ideas! It was very important to me and I really appreciate it. - Guarch Espino Meritxell
- It was an absolute pleasure to spend the past week with you in Schröcken. I really enjoyed learning about why and what you do. This was the first "workshop" I have attended and it will be very hard to beat (personally, I wouldn't change anything)...I learnt a lot and can't wait to utilise this in the coming months with the O2K. - Chris Donnelly, O2k-Network Lab: CH Lausanne Place N
- ...I just wanted to say gracias for the best taught experience I have ever had the other day during the quiz. It is incredible how good the O2K is and really for me it is the interpretation of this data that separates the best from the rest. You really have helped me with the logic, confidence, enthusiasm, "skills" to give this my best shot, thank you so much. - Chris Donnelly, O2k-Network Lab: CH Lausanne Place N
- I wanted to thank you so very much for our week in Schröcken. It was great, beautiful, very inspiring and I learnt a lot. And as an ‘outsider’ I felt extremely welcome – I thank you for that. I hope you managed to get back to Innsbruck with all equipment in one piece. You did such a great job! I arrived safely in Lund, but ‘I’m still there’. - Eleonor Åsander Frostner, O2k-Network Lab: SE Lund Elmer E
- It was with your enthusiasm, collaborative team spirit and sharing expertise that this workshop became a success with the most positive feedback from our participants. We as a team should and will bring this special spirit back to our lab and office and work: too special to be normal. I thank you for your contributions and am looking forward to our next steps: “The joy of success is the next step.- Erich Gnaiger, O2k-Network Lab: AT Innsbruck Gnaiger E

- Thanks for this. You really make a change in my mind!
- (...) The staff was among the best I've ever seen at the hotel and at Oroboros. It was an amazing experience and I feel much more comfortable with the instrument.
- Sense of community at Oroboros is strong and goes a long ways towards encouraging more gentle science and, importantly, rigor with regards to mitochondrial bioenergetics studies. Keep it up!
