Add a person

  • Family name_Initials (no punctuation). The initials should be confirmed from publications, such that author names and person names are linked.
  • Double first names: no spaces and no hyphens are used, e.g. Jean-Pierre Mazat is written as 'Mazat JP'.
  • Double family names: Hyphenated double names (e.g. Aber-Nein) are written as 'Aber-Nein'; if double names are separated by a space (e.g. Aber Ja) use the space, 'Aber Ja'.
  • Special letters (umlauts or accented letters) should be written as: Γ€=ae, ΓΆ=oe, ΓΌ=ue, Γ©=e; Γ’=a; Γ¦=ae, Γ₯=aa, ΓΈ=oe.


1. create Mueller Engelbert F
  • Type β€œMueller Engelbert F” into the search bar ->search
  • Create the page β€œMueller Engelbert F” on this wiki ->click
  • Edit, type in "{{Person}}"
  • Edit with form, fill in person profile information
The field "Institution" has to be filled out the following way: Group, Department, University, Country code
The field "Country" has to be filled the following way: Full country name e.g. Austria, and US is here USA
2. create Mueller EF
  • MOVE "Mueller EF" to β€œMueller Engelbert F"


This puts the focus on the central profile page Mueller Engelbert F while all redirects are possible and do not interfere with the system.


Profiles with wrong redirects
If you run across old redirects, i.e. Hauser D as the main page and Hauser Daniel with a redirect to Hauser D, please correct them according to the following procedure:
  • 1. Hauser D: Move
  • 2. Hauser D MOVE to Hauser Daniel

Address: Format for cities

  • English city names are preferred: e.g. MΓΌnchen is written as 'Munich', Wien as 'Vienna'.
  • No punctuation: e.g. 'St Petersburg'
  • Double city names: Hyphenated double names (e.g. Aber-Nein) are written as 'Aber-Nein'; if double names are separated by a space (e.g. Rio de Janeiro) use the space, 'Rio de Janeiro'.
  • Double city names with lower case letters: use lower case as 'Rio de Janeiro'.
