Description
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of several reactive oxygen intermediates generally referred to as reacive oxygen species (ROS). It may either occur as an unwanted byproduct of biological reactions with the potential to damage cellular molecules and structures or be produced as a signaling molecule in cell metabolism.
Abbreviation: H2O2
